Fill is evenly distributed across the boxes. Each box has inner vertical baffle walls, creating a 3-dimensional container, which allows the down to loft up to its full potential. Duvet Warmth The warmth level of a duvet is determined by the combination of two things: fill power and fill weight. Fill power (AKA loft), indicates the insulating power of the down. Higher loft down has better insulating properties and is warmer per ounce than lower loft down. Fill weight refers to how many ounces of down are in the product. Adding more fill to a product increases the warmth level. You cannot infer the warmth level of a duvet by loft or fill weight alone. Even if the loft is very high, if the product is not very full, it may not be very warm. Conversely, you may have a product that contains a fair amount of down, but if the loft of the down is low, it may not be very warm.
